FAQ

Q: What time should I arrive?

A: Anytime between 3:00pm and 3:45pm should work great. Ceremony starts at 4:00pm sharp.

 

 

Q: Where should I park?

A: Parking is complimentary for hotel guests and guests of our wedding. Guests that are staying at the hotel may park in the parking garage below the hotel. All other guests may park at the parking garage across the street or at Dicks Sporting Goods. If you have to park at Dicks Sporting Goods, we will have the trolley make frequent trips to pick up our guests.

 

 

Q: Will I have to pay for parking?

A: No.

 

 

Q: What should I wear?

A: Semi-Formal Attire

 

 

Q: He should wear:

A: A suit and tie, dark or light depending on the season and time of day.

 

 

Q: She should wear:

A: A Cocktail dress or dressy skirt and top.

 

 

Q: Are there any colors that guests should avoid wearing?

A: Umm, yes, nobody wear all white. K? K.

 

 

Q: Are kids welcome?

A: Childcare will be available. Contact Lahoma Dade at info@eventsunleashed.com for more details.

 

 

Q: Can I bring a date?

A: If you are married or seriously dating, of course. If not, please contact Lahoma Dade at info@eventsunleashed.com and she will respond after all RSVP’s are confirmed.

 

 

Q: Does your wedding have a theme?

A: White and gold.

 

 

Q: I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

A: Check out our “Accommodations” section for our hotel recommendation. Also, check out our “Austin Scene” recommendations.

If you are going to be in town for a few days, then you may want to be closer to downtown or the Domain area.

 

 

Q: When is the RSVP deadline?

A: Great question. Since you’re already on the site, you might as well knock that out right now. Otherwise, the deadline is September 18th.

 

 

Q: Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

A: Yup! You better roll on in.

 

 

Q: What should/could I do between the ceremony and the reception?

A: Grab a drink, a snack and meet some beautiful people. Mix and mingle with someone new.

 

 

Q: Will food be served?

A: Yes, of course.

 

 

Q: What kind of food will be served?

A: You can make your selection when you RSVP.

 

 

Q: What if I have a dietary restriction?

A: We have you covered but just in case you’re nervous about the food selection, contact Lahoma Dade at info@eventsunleashed.com

 

 

Q: Will there be dancing?

A: You better believe it!

 

 

Q: What time will the reception end?

A: The reception will end at 9:00pm.

 

 

Q: Can I take pictures?

A: We request an unplugged ceremony. When we get our photos back from our wedding photographer, we don’t want all of our guest shots to include our favorite people staring at their favorite devices. We have seen so many wedding pictures with people smiling, but they’re all staring at little screens.  

During the cocktail hour and reception, yes, take lots of pictures and feel free to use our social media hashtag #dixonwedding2016 when you post your photos.

 

 

Q: Is there a gifts registry?

A: With all that we have, we’ve been truly blessed. Your presence and prayers are all we request. But if you desire to give none the less, a monetary gift is one we suggest.

Q: What if I want to donate my services to the cause instead of giving a gift?

A: I’m sure we could use some help cleaning the toilets. Just kidding. Contact our wedding planner Lahoma Dade at info@eventsunleashed.com and she will get you all set up.

 

 

Q: Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels?
